In this student-led exploration of Jean-Michel Basquiat's work, artists studied his use of symbols, crowns, expressive lines, bold colors, and personal storytelling. Students then created unique self-portraits and affirmation pieces that celebrated their identities, interests, goals, and emotions. Through drawing, collage, painting, and creative symbolism, each artist developed a visual language of their own while exploring themes of self-expression, confidence, and empowerment.
